Ecology Report

We have been advised by expert ecologists that gathering information and observations of species that are present on the Sandrock Bends site and in the local area is a very important part of our campaign. The information we have gathered so far and the details of the species that we and various ecologists have observed and recorded in and around Sandrock Bends are in our document below.

Report your Sightings

It is very important that we continue to record and log the species of plants and animals that are observed from wild garlic to hover flies, hedgehogs to slow worms. The best way to do this is to download the iNaturalist or iRecord app and log species you see there. This information is then checked, verified, and added to Sussex Biodiversity Record Centre’s database, which is used by the authorities, developers, and nature groups.

Information and help can be found on the Sussex Biodiversity Record Centre’s website: https://sxbrc.org.uk/home/
